If you discover a leak you can take a few simple steps to reduce the risk of damage before a plumber arrives:
- Ensure any electrical circuits near the leak are disconnected/switched off.
- Try and shut the pipe off; either using a main stop tap or closing that part of the plumbing system.
- Call a qualified and reputable plumber to resolve the issue.
